The Kootenay Savings Community Foundation is helping Christmas come a little early this year for seven different local community organizations.

Twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall, our Community Foundation Donations Review Committee reviews and evaluates numerous inspiring grant applications for projects, programs and initiatives that will benefit current and future generations in the Kootenays for years to come.

Each approved grant reflects our belief in the power of community and the idea that when we come together, we can create positive, lasting change. By supporting these projects, we’re not just fulfilling our corporate responsibility; we’re actively helping shape the future of our neighbourhoods. At a time when many community programs and services are facing cutbacks in funding, it’s important for us as a local credit union to show the deep commitment we have to our communities.

Here's a summary of the incredible initiatives we have the honour of being a part of this granting cycle.  To learn a little bit more about each group, click on their name.

If you have any questions, or want to learn more our Community Foundation, please reach out to Aron Burke, Manager: Brand Development & Community Engagement, at 250.368.2683 or aron.burke@kscu.com.

On Thursday, March 21, our doors will be closed until 11:00am PT (noon MT) so our entire team can come together for an all-staff event.  We'll be laying the groundwork for some new initiatives that are all about enhancing our service to our members, communities, and each other. Thanks for your understanding and trust in Kootenay Savings.
